I read too many books to do a monthly wrap up so have my 5 star reads instead.
1. Keeper of the Lost Cities (series) by Shannon Messenger.
Not only did I manage to immerse myself into the lives of twelve-year-old criminal prodigies, but I dragged my sister along too.
2. On These Black Sands by Vanessa Rasanen
I read this book only two days after its release and now you're telling me I have to wait until next year for the second book?!
3. Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley
Finished this and spent the rest of the night staring at the ceiling not knowing what to do with my life.
4. Our Violent Ends by Chloe Gong
I laughed a lot and was unable to function at the end of it. Miss Gong what have you done to me?
(PS shameless self-promo; I posted a review for this book).
5. The Sky Blues by Robbie Couch
Gay and fluffy and perfectly captures the excitement for prom.
(PS more shameless self-promo; I have review for this too).
6. Amina's Voice (duology) by Hena Khan
This honestly speaks for itself.
7. Darius the Great Is Not Okay by Adib Khorram
At first, I was like ✨Darius the Great✨ as a joke.
But bro, I don't think it's a joke anymore.
THIS BOOK MADE ME SOB LIKE A BABY NOT ONCE BUT TWICE SO PLEASE GO READ THIS I'M BEGGING YOU.
I'M SCARED TO READ THE SECOND BOOK BECAUSE THE TITLE IS JUST INTIMIDATING;
Darius the Great Deserves Better.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY CHILD DARIUS, SIR?
ADIB KHORRAM, I BLAME YOU FOR THIS DESCENT INTO INSANITY.
